Ubisoft just keeps posting those videos and screenshots.  Compared to other developers, Ubisoft has been extremely active in spreading the gospel of its latest marquee title, Assassin’s Creed III. That’s why you’ve been reading a lot about AC3 in gaming websites such as this one, and that may also be why the title will most likely be a huge success once released, regardless of platform.  Earlier in the day, Ubisoft released an interesting new trailer for Assassin’s Creed III, offering viewers a closer look into the life of Revolutionary War protagonist Connor Kenway.

Early in the video, everything is peaceful – in Connor’s words, he has “known a world of true freedom, a world of peace and remarkable spirit.”  Connor is shown as a young half-English, half-Native American boy enjoying his life in your typical 17th century Indian reservation, until that world was taken from him.  Flash forward to Connor’s teenage years, where he starts training as an assassin.  As an adult, he tries to protect his homeland and defend his people, the Native Americans living in New England at that time.  There’s a lot of fast-paced action in this video as the adult Connor fends off English troops; some scenes have him wielding his trademark tomahawk, which will, as suggested, be his primary weapon in the game.  And despite the adversity, Connor will keep fighting because, to quote him once again, “no one else will.”

So what’s next from Ubisoft…a Desmond trailer?  No, that might not be too likely, because as suggested by several gamers, that will give away a whole lot of things.  That’s kind of like describing the movie’s ending in a crowded movie theater just when the action is heating up in the middle of the film.   We’ve still got seven weeks to go before Assassin’s Creed III is launched for the PC, so expect more screens, more trailers and maybe even more in-game videos with commentary from Alex Hutchinson and the rest of the guys behind AC3.
